Unit 1 Review Exercise Class 10 Math Solutions – Complex Numbers, Punjab Board

The Review Exercise at the end of Unit 1 doesn't stick to one topic – it pulls from all four exercises in Complex Numbers and mixes them into MCQs and short questions. So instead of, say, only practicing the equality condition from Exercise 1.1, you'll see a question on that sitting right next to one on the modulus of a complex number, or the conjugate, or maybe dividing two complex expressions.

That's really the point of this exercise: to check whether you can move between the different skills in Unit 1 without a hint about which one is coming next. Expect MCQs on definitions and properties – is a number purely real, purely imaginary, or neither – along with short questions asking you to add, subtract, multiply, or divide complex numbers, find a modulus, or solve simultaneous equations with complex coefficients.

For Punjab Board exams, review exercises like this one matter more than students usually realize. Board papers often lift MCQs almost directly from these mixed sets, and short questions from here show up reworded in the objective and subjective parts of the paper. Going through the solutions here question by question is a decent way to spot which part of Unit 1 – rectangular form, conjugates, modulus, or the properties – still needs another look before you move to Unit 2.
